DAVID OLATOKUNBO ALABA

David Alaba was born to a Nigerian Father and a Filipino mother in Vienna. The Los Blancos left wingback left his former club (Bayern Munichen)this year after winning over 27 trophies for the Bavarians Including ten Bundesliga titles and two Uefa Champions League trophies. The world best Left wingback however, doesn’t play for Nigeria but Austria, where he has been voted Austrian player of the year seven times. He made his debut for Austria in 2009 as the youngest ever debutant for Austria at 17 yearsnof age and has since gone on to play 86 games for them with 14 goals .

KEVIN OGHENETEGA TAMAREBI BAKUMO ABRAHAM

The English born striker who is simply known as “Tammy Abraham”, currently plays for Series A outfit, AS ROMA, has a Nigerian origin through his Father who hails from the Niger Delta region. He was born in England on 2nd October 1997 and attended the Chelsea Football Academy from where he has been sent to different loan spells to Bristol city, Swansea and Aston Villa before been brought back to Chelsea by former Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard. Bukayo Saka was born in Ealing, England, by both Yoruba parents, he plays the the London .based club, Arsenal. The twenty year old Gunners winger, started off his youth career at Green Ford Celtic, before moving to Watford, and then Arsenal academy. He made his Arsenal senior team debut on 29th November 2018, and broke a record as the first player, born in the 21st century to play in the premier League when he came on for Alex Iwobi in the 83rd minute on his Premier League debut. Although, Arsenal haven’t seen much progress in the last few years, the youngster has grabbed the FA Cup trophy for his club. He made his debut for the English National Team on 22 June 2019 against Czech, while clinching the “Man Of The Match” award.

MANUEL OBAFEMI AKANJI

Manuel Akanji was born on the 19th of July 1995 in Wiesedangen, Switzerland, to a Nigerian Father and a Swiss Mother. He kicked off his youth football career for Winterthur and made his debut for the Swiss side in 2013, in 2015, he made a transfer to FC Basel, and made his debut on 26th September 2015 against FC Lugano. He went on to win two consecutive Swiss Super League trophies and one Swiss cup before he made a move to Dortmund during the 2018 January( winter) transfer window. The German side’s defender plays for Switzerland, and made his debut against Faroe Islands in a 2-0 win. The 26 year old center back played for Switzerland during their 2018 World Cup campaign, the Euefa Nations Cup where they came 4th and their thrilling Euro 2020 run, where they exited in the quarter finals

Bamidele Jermaine Alli, popularly known as “Dele Alli” is a Tottenham based midfielder, he was born on 11th April, 1996 by Yoruba Father, Kehinde and English mother, Denise. He started his youth career in City Colts before moving to a club at his birth town – Milton Keynes Dons. When he was 9, he moved to Nigeria with his mom due to his mother’s excessive alcohol addiction, but moved back to England two years later.He later made a move to Tottenham, where he became one of the best youngsters of his generation, winning the PFA Young Players Award for two years running. He made his debut for England in 2015 and kept playing for them including during their fantastic 2018 World Cup run. OLUWAFIKAYOMI OLUWADAMILOLA TOMORI

The Canadian born English Center back was born in 1997 to Nigerian parents, he moved to England with his parents not long after his birth. The AC Milan star started his youth career with the Chelsea academy and made his debut for Chelsea senior team in 2016 in a 1-1 tie against Leicester City. He was sent out on different loan spells from 2017 until 2019 to Brighton and Hove Albion, Hull city and Derby county before been brought back to Chelsea FC by Frank Lampard alongside former academy graduates, Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Reece James and others. He scored his first goal for the Blues in a 5-2 win against Wolves. On 22nd January 2021, Tomori was loaned to AC Milan and the deal was made permanent in 17th June of the same year for £25,000,000.

JAMAL MUSIALA

Jamal Musiala plays as an attacking midfielder for European giants, Bayern Munich. The Nigerian descent of Nigerian Father and German Mother was born in Stuttgart, Germany but had most of his youthful years at England while playing for the Chelsea academy. He moved to Bayern Munich in 2019 and on 3 June 2020, made his debut for the Bavarians. He became the youngest player to feature for Bayern in the Bundesliga against Freiburg on 20th June 2020 at 17 years 115 days, Jamal also broke Roque Santa Cruz’s record of being the youngest goal scorer for Bayern Munich when he scored in their 8-0 win over Shackle on 18th September 2020. On 23 February 2021, he became the youngest Champions League goalscorer of both English and German Nationality when he scored against Lazio.
Even though the youngster was open to play for Nigeria and England in the senior team, he opted to play for Germany, being his birth country even though he has represented England in the junior levels. EBERCHI OLUCHI EZE

Eberechi Eze was born on 29th June 1998, in Greenwich, England. As a child, he started his youth career at Arsenal before getting released, he went on to play for the youth sides of Fulham, Reading and Millwall. He was later signed by Queen Park Rangers and made his debut on 7th January 2017 as a substitute for injured Yeni Ngbakoto in a match against Blackburn. On 30th August 2017, he went on a loan move to Wycombe Wanderers where he helped the club to promotion before returning back to be an important regular team starter for Queens park rangers. In 2020, he made a transfer to premier League based side, Crystal Palace for £17,000,000. Angelo Ogbonna was born on 23rd May, 1988 to both Nigerian parents who relocated to Cassino, Italy in 1983 and obtained his Italian Citizenship at the age of 18. He started his youth career for Nuova Cassino before been bought by Torino for £3,000. He made his Serie A debut on 11th February, 2007, managing just 4 appearances that season. The following season, he was loaded off to SerieC1 side, Crotone where he almost helped the club earn promotion. He returned to Torino the coming season and in 2013, made a £13,000,000 to city rivals, Juventus, winning two Scudettos, Super coppa Italia, Coppa Italia and reaching the Champions League final in 2015. In 2015 WestHam bought him for £11,000,000.
Having represented Italy as a youth, he went on to represent them in the senior level and made his debut for Azurri in 11 November, 2012 in a friendly against Poland.

Karim Adeyemi was born at Munich, Germany to a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother in 2002.

Tino Anjorin as he is wildly known as, is an English footballer, playing on loan for Russian club, Lokomotiv Moscoa, he was born on 23rd November 2001 at Poole, England.

Folarin Balogun was born in New York, America by Nigerian parents on 3rd July, 2001. When he was two years old, his parents relocated to London, England where he grew up. He first played for Aldersbrook, almost signed for Tottenham Hotspur before joining London rivals, Arsenal in 2008.
He made to the senior team in 2020, making his debut as a 74th minute substitute in a Euefa Europa league game against Dundalk, scored his first goal against Molde in the Europa league. On 19th May, 2018 he made his debut for the Swiss giants in a game against FC Luzern . In 2020, Austrian side, RedBull Salzburg acquired the services of the Swiss born winger and he made his debut for his new club on 31st January, 2020 and even though he has been criticized by fans for his poor ability in converting chances in front of goal, he has went on to win the Austrian Bundesliga and Austrian Cup for two years running.

MICHAEL AKPOVIE OLISE

Michael Olise is a 20 year old attacking midfielder who plays for Premier league’s Crystal Palace. He was born in Hammersmith, England to a Nigerian father and a French born Algerian mother. He played for Chelsea, Manchester city and Reading as a youth and 12th March 2019, he made his senior team debut in a 5-0 loss against Leeds United. He scored his first league goal against Barnsley. On 8th July 2021, Olise signed a five year deal with Crystal palace after they paid £8,370,000 for the young midfielder.
Olise represents France U18 team and even though he was named in a Super Eagles standby squad on March 2021, he hasn’t made an appearance for the team.

BRYAN IKEMEFUNA OKOH

The American born Center back was born on 16th May 2003 to Nigerian parents. He played for FC Espagnol Lausanne and Lausanne Sport before moving to Red Bull Salzburg’s academy in 2019. He moved to Liefering that same year where he made his senior team debut on 9th August. Even though the Bryan Okoh is eligible to represent Nigeria, he has continued to represent Austria.

ADEMOLA LOOKMAN OLAJADE ALADE AYLOLA LOOKMAN

Ademola Lookman was born to Nigerian parents on 20th October 1997 in London, England. He played for both Waterloo and Charlton Athletic in the youth levels, before breaking into the Charlton Athletic senior team in 2015, in 2017, he was bought by Everton. He moved to Leipzig on loan the coming year where he scored a winning goal on his debut. Leipzig made his deal permanent on 25th July 2019 but sent him out on loan to just promoted premier league side, Fulham and now to Leicester this season.

He made his first senior start on 28th August 2021 in a 1-1 draw with Brentford. He also won the Aston Villa academy player of the season and the U18 FA youth cup.
He plays England in the youth levels alongside his elder brother and fellow teammate, Caleb.

CHUKWUBUIKE ADAMU

Chukwubuike Adamu was born Kaduna, Nigeria. He started in GSV Waeher in 2011 until 2014 when he moved to Grazer AK and then Red Bull Salzburg in 2015.
He played his first game as a pro for Liefering senior team in a game against WSG Wattens when he came in for fellow Nigerian descent, Karim Adeyemi.On September 2020, he moved back to Red Bull Salzburg and made his debut for the senior team against SW Bregen. He got loaned to Swiss Super league side, FC St. Gallen until the end of the 2020-2021 season. The Nigerian born forward later got back to Red Bull Salzburg this season where he scored his first goal for the club in a 1-0 win against Admira.
